Your gift will provide an engagement kit to a child arriving, scared and alone, at a train station in India.
When children arrive at our Child Help Desks at train stations across India, they are often lost, alone, vulnerable and scared. There may be language barriers making it difficult for them to explain themselves, or they may simply be scared and unable to find their words.
These kits are more than just a tool, they help children feel at ease when they feel most scared, allowing our outreach workers to build relationships with them and gain their trust, as well as enabling our teams to better understand their emotional well-being.
By allowing us to get to know children better and understand their needs, these packs allow us to tailor our approach and support to ensure every child gets the right support for them.
