For many families in Tanzania, poverty can push children into desperate situations. When parents cannot afford to put food on the table, children may feel they have no choice but to leave home in search of work, opportunity or simply a way to survive. But on the streets, they face a far greater risk of abuse, exploitation and harm.
That's why, when we reunite children with their families, we provide an emergency food parcel to ease immediate hunger and relieve the pressure on the household. While families no longer have to worry about where their next meal will come from, we work alongside parents and carers to build a sustainable income through business training, mentoring and financial support.
