The Other Railway Children, David Maidment 

As the direct result of a life-changing encounter with a young child on the streets in Bombay Churchgate station in 1989, David Maidment set about finding out how to help such exploited and vulnerable children, leading to his founding of the Railway Children charity in 1995.  

David reflects in this book on that journey and the way the initial idea grew into what the charity is today, working through many partners with street and runaway children in India, Tanzania and the UK. The book, as well as being a very personal account of his experience, and the lessons learned on the way.  

All royalties from this book will be donated to Railway Children.
